Comprehensive State Plan 2014-2020
Section 37.2-315 of the Code of Virginia requires that the Department develop and biennially update a six-year plan for the behavioral health and developmental services system. The plan identifies services and supports needed by persons with mental health or substance use disorders or intellectual disability across the Commonwealth, defines resource requirements, and proposes strategies to address these needs.

The State Board will meet on December 5, 2013 to consider the comments received and revisions proposed in response to those comments. Additionally, the final version of the Plan presented to the State Board in December will replace FY 2012 with available FY 2013 statistics. The final Plan should be available on the DBHDS website before the end of the year.
