- DD Waiver Analyst

Job Description: The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Servicesí Division of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking two highly motivated, skilled, and experienced individuals to provide oversight of Case Management services to individuals in the DD Waiver. Responsible for reviewing requests for service authorization and wait list management of applicants to the Individual and Family Developmental Disabilities Support (DD) waiver, assuring that all criteria are met, that care coordination is provided to individuals and that individuals meet the level of functioning criteria for the waiver on an annual basis. Will review the Plan of Care to include all requested services before prior authorization can be initiated; conducts Annual Level of Function (LOF) Reviews for enrolled individuals. Extensive travel required. Qualifications: Knowledge of professional standards of supports and services for individuals with developmental disabilities, including knowledge of best practices. Knowledge of the health care needs of persons with disabilities (physical, cognitive, emotional), health and social service programs and issues, community resources, state and federal DD regulations, negotiation techniques; problem resolution; case management skills; medical terminology; and medical standards of treatment preferred. Ability to work with information systems and in particular with Oracle databases is preferred. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work assignments, and to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to research and identify changes in program requirements and policies and to interpret state and federal regulations. Ability to represent the department in statewide training and speaking engagements. Ability to analyze data, determine logical conclusions and prepare comprehensive reports. Ability to use a range of computer programs and data base applications. Educational knowledge and skills in human services area. Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social or behavioral sciences, education or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Registered Nurse preferred. Professional experience in the delivery of human service programs including understanding of best practices in intellectual and developmental disabilities services preferred.

Salary: $41,778-$60,000
