- Data Architect

Job Description: The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Servicesí Office of Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is seeking a highly skilled professional to provide expertise in data management to include master data management, data warehousing, data warehouse reporting, data analysis, data architecture and design, data access security, data availability standardizations and methods, and data integration. Provide these services in support of DBHDS and external agency goals such as data availability, security, quality, and governance. Provide expertise with Microsoft Master Data Service (MS MDS) and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Service (MS SSRS). Provide expertise in integration of the agency's business data, with emphasis on reuse of structures and processes, and maximizing data availability, integrity, and security. QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive experience as a Data Architect with accountability for excellence in data staging, merging, aggregation, and quality. Extensive experience in data architecture, logical database design, ER models, MOLAP models, database schemas, ETL tools, OS scripting and job scheduling. Experience developing, tuning and maintaining SQL Server database procedures, with an emphasis on ETL logic, staging database structures, exception handling, mass data loading, and relational as well as multidimensional design. Ability to work with data sources ranging from RDMBS, OLAP cubes, mainframe file systems, web services, XML, and other documents. Extensive application and database development experience in a project setting, delivering quality solutions within a management-approved schedule. Ability to provide support for OLAP reporting applications by designing and implementing ETL processes and staging database structures, OLAP database structures including fact and dimension tables, and process flow procedures, based on end-user requirements. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred. Extensive experience with the following Microsoft data architecture and reporting tools required: SQL Server, MDS, SSIS, SSRS, DTS and SSAS. Extensive experience in BI reporting tools, their Reporting and OLAP Designers, and their Security Administration Services.
