Portsmouth Behavioral Healthcare Services - Clinician Supervisor (Substance Abuse)

Job Description: The City of Portsmouth Department of Behavioral Healthcare Services seeks a professional to supervise clinical staff providing services to consumers in an outpatient substance treatment/methadone program, including the women’s program; also supervises case management and drug court services. Work includes supervising staff and ensuring standard policies and procedures are followed according to state, federal, CARF and any other required regulations. Exp/Educ: Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related human services field; 3 – 5 years of experience providing substance abuse services. Masters degree and CSAC certification preferred. Qualified applicants may be given a conditional employment offer. Actual employment is contingent upon the satisfactory results of a federal and state criminal background check, using fingerprints and a search of the Virginia Department of Social Services Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, as required by law.

Salary: $36,362 – 48,180
