Portsmouth Behavioral Healthcare Services - Clinical Therapist I (Mental Health – Emergency Services)

Job Description: Three (3) positions to provide services to individuals and families through crisis intervention; must be willing to work various shift, including nights and weekends. Educ/Exp: Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related human services field. (The Master’s degree must be acceptable by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals as a sufficient Master’s degree to allow licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Substance Abuse Practitioner, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; or Virginia License as a Registered Nurse and 36 months professional work experience with a psychiatric population); 3-5 yrs clinical services required; and a valid Virginia driver’s license required. Qualified applicants may be given a conditional employment offer. Actual employment is contingent upon the satisfactory results of a federal and state criminal background check, using fingerprints and a search of the Virginia Department of Social Services Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, as required by law.

Salary: $34,631-45,886
