Portsmouth Behavioral Healthcare Services - Clinical Therapist I (Substance Abuse)

Job Description: Two (2) positions to provide professional therapeutic services in a substance abuse outpatient program. Work involves clinical assessment and therapy; case management; crisis intervention; and other ancillary duties. Educ/exp: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, education or a related human services field; 3-5 years of experience providing clinical services; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. May require Substance Abuse certification. Qualified applicants may be given a conditional employment offer. Actual employment is contingent upon the satisfactory results of a federal and state criminal background check, using fingerprints and a search of the Virginia Department of Social Services Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, as required by law.

Salary: $34, 631
