Portsmouth Behavioral Healthcare Services - Clinician Supervisor (Substance Abuse)

Job Description: Supervises clinical staff, providing services to consumers in an outpatient substance abuse treatment/methadone program including a women’s program; also supervises case management and drug court services. Work includes ensuring that policies and procedures are followed according to state, federal, CARF and any other required regulations. EXP/EDUC: Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related human services field and 3 – 5 years of experience providing substance abuse services required; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Masters degree and CSAC certification preferred. Qualified applicants may be given a conditional employment offer. Actual employment is contingent upon the satisfactory results of a federal and state criminal background check, using fingerprints and a search of the Virginia Department Social Services’ Child Abuse and Neglect registry, as required by law.

Salary: $36,362 - $48,180
