Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck - Database Administrator/Report Writer
Job Description: Under limited supervision, performs complex technical work and analytical services including advanced database reports, statistical data analysis, and database administration for the Board’s information systems in the administrative division including Electronic Health Records, Financial, Payroll, Human Resources, and Inventory systems. Enhances or develops advanced database reports, queries, scripts, business intelligence screens, HTML forms for data input; monitors, maintains, and optimizes the performance, security, backup, recovery and integrity of database and data warehouse systems; install and test installation of upgrades; support all administrator/configuration features within the electronic health system; writes instructional and operational documentation; researches data and reporting anomalies; provides system training to CSB users; processes user support and report requests; back up to the Data Management Specialists. Additional tasks include: miscellaneous technical and administrative duties. Must exercise independent judgment and initiative. Is accountable for completing all assigned tasks under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Information Technology. Requires 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Demonstrates ability to write reports from database system and scripts for database maintanence/ reports specifically in SQL; experience and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server: knowledge of relational database design/operations, data warehousing, and business intelligence systems; excellent documentation skills and advanced operational use of Microsoft Access and Excel. Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
