Highlands - Early Childhood Program Manager
Job Description: DUTIES: Position functions as the local Part C Systemís Manager and is responsible for the full implementation of the Part C System of Infant/Toddler Early Intervention. In this capacity, he/she has supervisory responsibility for Developmental Specialists, Service Coordinators, and monitoring oversight of private therapies. The System Manager has responsibility for coordinating the people and resources necessary to design and implement and integrated, comprehensive services delivery system that meets the state and federal requirements for Early Intervention services. Skills are required in public and program promotion, budget development/management, service coordination, early intervention services, writing, computer skills. Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people, promotes interagency programs, speak publicly, organize material, interpret policy, and document accurately. The ability to function with substantial initiative and independent judgment is also required. POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Masterís degree with management and leadership experience, including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. License as RN, OT, Educator, PT, and Speech Pathology encouraged. Knowledge of early childhood development, growth, needs, services, fiscal planning, grant writing, state standards regarding early intervention and Part C, service coordination, social services system, and private agencies dealing with children for the age of 0 to 3 years.
