District 19 - Peer Recovery Support Specialist

Job Description: District 19 Community Services Board is seeking a part time Peer Support Recovery Specialist responsible for providing support and assistance in a residential setting to adults diagnosed with serious mental illness. Position will provide teaching, support and guidance in daily activities, behavioral health, community integration and medical management. Successful applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, computer skills and have previous experience as a mental health services recipient. Prefer some college and experience working in a residential setting. Work hours: Wednesday– Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m./Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Starting salary is commensurate with experience/training. Position above requires valid VA Driver's License with acceptable motor vehicle record, pre employment criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary: Part Time
