Rappahannock-Rapidan - Residential Counselor II
Job Description: RRCS is looking for motivated, flexible, caring candidates to work in two new group homes scheduled to open in September/October 2013. We are looking for candidates with and without experience to work with adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Persons holding these positions will provide individualized supports, training, and assistance to consumers to promote community living and community inclusion. Although individualized goals are developed, support, training, and assistance can involve focus on daily living skills, health related and behavioral related needs, safety skills, socialization skills, and access to community. Successful candidates with little or no experience will be placed in a paid training program. Residential Counselor II – Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field. Salary is $28,957.50 per year.
