District 19 - Residential Specialist (Petersburg Area)
Job Description: District 19 Community Services Board is currently seeking hourly Residential Specialist responsible for providing 24-hour residential services to adults. Position will provide support and supervision to assist individuals with skills training, community integration, medication management and problem solving. Successful applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent; intellectual disability experience; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; basic computer skills and valid Virginia Driverís License with acceptable driving record. Prefer candidates with credits towards an Associates or BA/BS degree in Human Services or related field, and one-year experience working in a residential setting; or equivalent combination of training and experience. A bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate is preferred. This position is hourly, as needed, with no benefits. Position above requires a valid VA Driver's License with a point value of -6 or higher, a pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening.
