Rappahannock Area - Senior ES Therapist

Job Description: District 19 Community Services Board is seeking an experienced masterís level clinician to provide emergency services to children and adolescents in nine D19 service areas. Essential job duties include supervision of crisis staff, crisis intervention and stabilization, pre-screenings, representation of CSB at involuntary commitment hearings, discharge planning and short term counseling. Successful applicants must have: Masterís degree in human services field (which includes social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation and human services counseling); experience in working with children and adolescents with mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders in a mental health setting; certification as pre-admissions screener; knowledge of the Virginia Code as it relates to temporary detentions and involuntary commitments, skills in assessment and diagnosis; supervisory experience in Human Services; proficiency in computers. Preferred qualifications: license (LCSW, LPC) and experience working in community based emergency services and knowledge of electronic medical records. A bilingual candidate (English/Spanish) is preferred. Position requires valid VA Driver's License with a point balance of -6 or higher, pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening. Starting salary is commensurate with experience/training. Excellent benefits include sick and annual leave and Virginia Retirement System. Flexible work schedule, including 4-day work week is possible in some positions.
