Eastern Shore - Senior Medical Records Technician

Job Description: The Eastern Shore Community Services Board (ESCSB) is recruiting for a full-time Senior Medical Records Technician responsible for assisting with the maintenance of a comprehensive electronic health record system for behavioral health services. Duties include receiving and responding to requests for medical records information, developing medical records policies, procedures and forms; quality improvement reviews of electronic health records, and overall administrative care of the health information records. The individual selected for this position must have extensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations or experience with an electronic health records system. Experience with behavioral health records and related regulations preferred. Minimum salary is $25,897 with a comprehensive benefit package that includes retirement with the Virginia Retirement System; medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health insurance; a minimum of 15 days paid leave per year; and other optional benefits such as deferred compensation plans and long term care insurance.
