District 19 - Substance Abuse Therapist (Licensed)
Job Description: District 19 Community Services Board, located in Old Towne Petersburg, is seeking a full time licensed therapist to provide outpatient substance abuse therapy to children and adolescents. The incumbent will be responsible for outpatient therapy to children and adolescents throughout the D19 catchment area. Essential job duties include providing individual, group and family therapy; and completing documentation per Medicaid standards. Successful applicant must have a minimum of one year clinical experience with children and adolescents; at least one year experience providing substance abuse treatment; a professional license (LPC, LCSW, LCP); knowledge of behavioral health, diagnostic criteria and assessment abilities; basic computer skills and experience using other office equipment. Preferred qualifications include experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, experience providing individual and group therapy, strong knowledge of child mental health issues and diagnosis, crisis intervention experience, CSAC, and experience with electronic health records. A bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate is preferred. Work days are Monday – Friday, two evenings per week is required. Position above requires a valid VA Driver’s License with a point balance of -6 or higher, a pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience/training.
