Western Tidewater - REGISTERED NURSE: SUPERVISOR
Job Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Coordinate and supervise medical and nursing services for Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Primary Medical Services; develop/implement/evaluate nursing and medical programming, including long-range planning; establish service goals/objectives. Supervise medical and pharmaceutical services; responsible for medication handling and accountability in all programs. Supervise nursing staff, complete performance evaluations. Provide medical consultation as needed. Assure compliance with established Western Tidewater CSB and DBHDS policies, procedures, and program standards, State Licensing requirements and Medicaid Regulations; facilitate in-service staff trainings. WORK HOURS: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday WORK SITE: Suffolk, VA. (Smithfield and Franklin, on occasion) QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Licensed in State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Minimum three (3) years clinical experience and two (2) years supervisory experience in a community behavioral health setting required.
