Western Tidewater - CLINICIAN I, Behavior Specialist School Counseling Intervention Program
Job Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provide therapeutic behavioral support to child/adolescent consumers to assist them in increasing functional life skills and deter behaviors that could cause out-of-home placement. Provide quality care and assist with achieving optimal potential in the least restrictive environment. Develop and implement individualized behavior management and/or behavior modification programs. Participate in clinical case supervision. Maintain daily point sheets and document all relative information related to consumers. Co-facilitate psycho-educational and skills-building activities. Maintain records in compliance with existing standards/policies to assure protection of consumer confidentiality, and to comply with fiscal guidelines to insure reimbursement from third party payors. QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in a Human Services field; minimum of one year clinical experience working directly with SMI or SED individuals; must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP); valid Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record required at time of hire and continuously thereafter.
