District 19 - Emergency Services Therapist
Job Description: District 19 Community Services Board is seeking experienced masterís level clinicians to provide emergency services to children and adults in nine D19 service locations and/or in the Crisis Assessment Center located in the City of Hopewell. Essential job duties include: crisis intervention and stabilization, pre-screenings, representation of CSB at involuntary commitment hearings, discharge planning and short term counseling. Successful applicants must have: Masterís degree in human services; experience working with people with mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders in a mental health setting; knowledge of the Virginia Code as it relates to temporary detentions and involuntary commitments; skills in assessment and diagnosis of SA and MH, certification as a Preadmission Screening Evaluator and experience with electronic health records system. Ability to work independently with supervisory back up. Prefer professional license (i.e. LCSW or LPC). A bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate is preferred Position is PRN, hourly with no benefits. Position above requires a valid driverís license for their state of residence and have a point balance of Ė6 or higher, Pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening.
