Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare - Mental Health Tech Position#: Relief
Job Description: Adult Clinical Servicess, SRC-RSSU. GRADE:108 STATUS:Relief SHIFT:As needed basis DUTIES: This position exists to assist staff with admissions to the unit, answering phones as needed, assisting clients with ADL’s as needed, monitoring clients in the facility, suicide precautions and 1:1 monitoring as needed, housekeeping on the unit, laundry for program clients, providing snacks for clients, transporting clients as needed, medication administration as needed, facilitating wellness activities with clients and documentation in the electronic record. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High School diploma, GED, and formal training, special courses or self-education that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education. Have over one year and up to and including two years experience in the field working with individual with mental health and substance use disorders. Will be required to obtain med tech certification and First Aid/CPR/AED. APPLICANTS MUST DEMONSTRATE ON THE APPLICATION EVIDENCE OF THE LISTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AS ACQUIRED THROUGH EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE. Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license with a safe driving record in order to be covered by the agency insurance policy while transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. Candidates who are offered a position are required to provide fingerprints and personal information for a criminal history check as a condition of employment.
Salary: $8.93/hour
