Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare - Mental Health Aide Position#: Relief

Job Description: Adult Clinical Services, SRC-RSSU. GRADE:106 STATUS:Relief SHIFT:As needed basis DUTIES: This position exists to assist staff with admissions to the unit, answering phones as needed, assisting clients with ADL’s as needed, monitoring clients in the facility, suicide precautions and 1:1 monitoring as needed, housekeeping on the unit, laundry for program clients, preparing/providing meals and snacks for clients, transporting clients as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High School diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training. Have over three months and up to an including six months experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders. Requires a valid VA driver’s license with a clean driving record in order to be covered by the agency insurance policy while transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. AED/CPR/First Aid certification as required by licensure for residential services. APPLICANTS MUST DEMONSTRATE ON THE APPLICATION EVIDENCE OF THE LISTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AS ACQUIRED THROUGH EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE. Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license with a safe driving record. Candidates who are offered a position are required to provide fingerprints and personal information for a criminal history check as a condition of employment.

Salary: $8.10/hour
