Norfolk - Psychiatrist, Medical Services Unit

Job Description: As a member of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, actively engages in a full range of diagnostic, treatment and therapeutic activities, utilizing a culturally-competent, evidence-based approach to diagnosis and treatment. Qualifications: Requires an unrestricted license to practice Medicine in Virginia, completion of an ACGME-accredited psychiatric residency program, and clinical experience working with the severely mentally ill, including individuals with co-occurring illness and developmental disabilities. Board-Certification by the ABPN in General Psychiatry is preferred. If Board-Eligible, must obtain Board Certification within five years of completing psychiatric residency. Added qualifications in Geriatric and/or Addiction Psychiatry desirable. Must possess or be eligible for Medicare and Medicaid credentialing.

Salary: Commensurate with experience within Compensation Guidelines
