CSB Community Contracting

Community Contracting negotiates and administers performance contracts, authorizes funding of community services boards (CSBs), monitors the accomplishment of contract objectives and performance and outcome measures and compliance with contract assurances directly and in conjunction with other offices in the Department, analyzes and interprets CSB data, consults on CSB administrative and management issues, interprets policies and procedures, fosters mutual understanding and cooperation between CSBs and the Department, and works with advocacy organizations and stakeholders.

Community Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Measures
Background: The Department developed these seven community behavioral health quality improvement measures in collaboration with the Executive Directors Forum and the Data Management Committee of the Virginia Association of Community Services Boards. The measures focus on three key areas of community services provided by the 39 community services boards (CSBs) and one behavioral health authority (BHA): mental health recovery, substance abuse services, and children’s mental health services.

1. The current Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Measures portray each measure graphically for each CSB and the BHA followed by the related data table.

2. The Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Measures Descriptions describe each measure. 

3. The Community Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Measures Specifications Matrix, list the detailed specifications for each measure and describe how it is calculated.
